NEWS FROM HAMILTON ![]()
After having an unusual wet summer we are looking forward to a better Fall Season.
In reviewing our activities during the past few months, we held our annual Garage Sale in April, which once again was a success. In May we celebrated our 50 th anniversary with a special mass enriched by the singing of our Church’s Choir followed by a dinner in our Kolping Room. Our celebration was joined by our guests from Kolping Toronto. At the same occasion we presented some of our members with their 25-year pins and certificates and Robert Vert with his 50 year Anniversary pin, as he is the only surviving founding member of Kolping Hamilton.
Our next get-together would have been in August for our annual Kolping Picnic which had to be cancelled due to bad weather. For September we have scheduled a Craft Sale
In closing - a sad note, in the early part of this year we lost one of our dear and long time members, namely, Emma Vertatschitsch, who for many years was our Chair person for Religion. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
