November 13th: We Congratulate Margret and Victor Littau on their 50th Wedding Anniversary, and we wish them many more happy years together!

November 28, 29, 30 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday): Christkindlmarkt at Fort Gary Place. Booths, music, entertainment and Gluehwein; coffee and cake for sale. A good place to spend a couple of hours - you're certain to run into old friends and acquaintances, and the atmosphere is wonderful, very Weihnachtlich. Check the Free Press for times and schedules.

Misc: We're happy to hear that Hubert Fahnenschmidt came through his open heart surgery OK, and hope that they can now fix his other problems. Also, Father Wronski is recovering nicely after his battle with a fish in St. Malo lake. We will be thinking of all those of our members who are not well. It's hard any time, but Christmas must be the worst.
Everyone will agree that our Schlachtfest was another great success. The atmosphere, the food and the music were terrific and the dance floor was busy all night. Thanks to all the workers, especially the convenors, Magda and Wolfgang, and the cook, Barbara and her hardworking kitchen staff. Your are tops!
We wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and a lucky and healthy new year!
